POBLO Chicago (People of the Book Lutheran Outreach) has sent Missionary Hicham Chehab to work in partnership with the Northern Illinois District, Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, to reach out to Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs and others in the area who have never heard the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Salam Church, an Arabic Service, was launched in March 2008 in DuPage County as a place where Arab peoples come together for spiritual discovery, worship and fellowship. The group meets on Saturdays at noon in Lombard, Illinois.
